Ingredients

  • 5 Honeycrisp Apples
  • 11 oz Krafts Caramel Candies
  • 10 oz Ghirardelli White Chocolate Melting Wafers
  • 2 Tbsp Heavy Cream
  • 1 cup Cinnamon Sugar
  • 5 Popsicle Sticks

Instructions

  • Scrub and clean apples under water removing the wax. Dry apples. Stick popsicles in the tops of apples.
  • Add caramel candies and heavy cream in a sauce pan over medium to low heat. Stir until completely melted and smooth.
  • Dip the apples into the melted caramel allowing the excess to drip back into sauce pan. After dipping each apple place into the fridge on a cookie sheet cover in plastic wrap.
  • Melt white chocolate in a sauce pan on low. Stir until completely smooth and melted. Dip the caramel apples into the white chocolate covering apples. Sprinkle cinnamon immediately after dipping. Place back in fridge for 30 minutes before serving.

Notes

Tip 1: Do NOT heat up caramel candies and white chocolate too fast. If the candy is too hot it will not stick to the apples or will crack.
Tip 2: Wash your apples well. This makes a big difference in the appearance and making sure the candy doesn't slide off.
Tip 3: Sprinkle the cinnamon sugar evenly by turning the apple over a bowl. This will catch all the extra sugar and makes it easy to cover entire apple.
Tip 4: Keep trying this recipe over and over! It took me several attempts to get it right. Your stove might heat quicker or slower than mine so use your best judgment. If they crack or slide it's okay. They will still taste delicious!
