Easy Cinnamon Rolls

This cinnamon rolls are easy and delicious! This recipe is a crowd favorite and can be made in under an hour.

Equipment

  • Bread mixer attachment

Ingredients
  

Dough

  • 1 cup hot water
  • 2 tbsp fast active yeast
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 1/4 cup milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 5 1/2 cup bread flour

Filling

  • 1 stick melted butter
  • 4 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup sugar

Simple Icing

  • 2 cups confectioners' sugar
  • 4-6 tbsp milk or heavy cream
  • pinch of salt

Instructions
 

Dough

  • Add hot water to a mixing bowl with bread attachment
  • Sprinkle yeast on top of hot water.
  • Sprinkle sugar on top of yeast and hot water.
  • Microwave milk for 2 minutes and add eggs, salt, oil and bread flour to yeast mixture.
  • While mixing, slowly add hot milk and mix until smooth and stick. about 7-10 minutes.
  • Cover and let rise for about 20-25 minutes.
  • Preheat oven at 350 degrees.
  • Pat out unto a floury surface about 3/4 inch thick.
  • Pour melted butter and sprinkle mixed cinnamon sugar over dough.
  • Roll the dough tightly and cut into 3 inch pieces and place on a lightly greased baking pan.
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes or lightly brown on the top.
  • Let cool for 10 minutes before pouring on icing.

Icing

  • Whisk together powered sugar, milk, and salt.
